Dr. Sameh Mosaed, MD is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at UC Irvine. She serves as Chief of Glaucoma, and Director of the Glaucoma fellowship training program at UCI. Her areas of expertise include complex cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment. She is an internationally recognized expert and pioneer in “minimally invasive glaucoma surgery”, and has trained dozens of eye surgeons over the course of her career. Dr. Mosaed has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals and has written numerous textbook chapters. She is regularly invited to international conferences to present the results of her research and surgical techniques. She has been voted on of America’s “Top Doctors” every year since 2007. In 2017, she took over as Medical Director for Women for World Health, after serving with distinction as a team leader on several prior missions.
